William walked slowly through the dwindling crowd that were heading to dinner or their homes. The young man mumbled to himself which drew a little attention since everyone hardly kept an eye on a young man. Everyone thinks that Will is a student heading home or something along those lines. Will's eyes are a little wet from crying often when he always thought of his father, Jack Sullivan.
He does know something is up with Jack, since he sent Will away for some odd reason. The young lad slightly rolled his brown eyes as the sun went below the horizon and the streetlights flickered on to put light on the cement walkway that ran beside the slightly busy street. William shrugged up his blue backpack as he walked steadily onward. In his pack, he has a sandwich, some money, a water bottle, and a bag of potato chips. He took these items since he will need to eat sometime soon and that the money will pay for a taxi to bring him his fake home.
The young man also felt the right jean pocket that held his blue phone that he bought about two weeks ago. Will is also paying the monthly fee for the cell phone serves he slightly curses. It is a bit of money, but at least he will keep in contact with family, friends, and emergency services.
Will looked around before sitting on a stair step that sat across the street from the antique store that he lived in. A frown fell on his lips before he watched people walk by as the crescent moon shined in the sky. His hands also fiddled with his gray shirt a little as he listened, watched, and listened to his surroundings.

Jason winced slightly as he put his weight on his left foot as he walked down the alleyway. His father has kicked him out again after beating him. ’What the hell did I do this time?’ he thought to himself as he leaned and shuffled down the alley. He cursed slightly as he stumbled over a empty beer bottle and fell, landing on his arms to catch him before he jarred his broken ribs any more than he already had.
He cursed and slowly pushed himself up, using the wall to once again hold himself up and mostly off his broken foot. He continued limping down the alley until he reached the end and looked out at the antique store that his onetime savior told him about the last time he had been beaten that badly. He whimpered and wrapped his arm around his broken ribs and tried to walk over to the store.
“Jack.” he muttered quietly as his eyes clouded over with pain giving them a glassy look. He didn’t even make five feet away from the alley before he stumbled on something and fell over, yelping in pain as he landed a small crack as his arm broke as he landed. “$H!T!” he yelled in frustration as he tried to push himself into a sitting position to grab his arm.
He sat on the edge of the road for almost ten minutes before he tried scooting back to use the wall to push himself up once more, wincing at every move of his arm, or foot. “Stupid F@&%!$# father and his stupid F@&%!$# anger issues. What the hell did I do?!?” he muttered angrily to himself, not noticing that he was no longer alone.

William heard someone approaching. His head swung over to see a figure that was using the wall as a support. His brown eyes held fear and curiosity as he sat completely still.
He saw the figure was hurt when the man was struggling a little. Standing up slowly, Will walk up to the young man. His hands stayed at his sides. "Are you alright?" He asked as he looked the young man up and down. He then offered his hand for a brace for the man.
"Here, use my hand and shoulder as a brace. You seem very lost of balance." He said softly before walking up. "Name is William. I have lived at the place across the street for while." He said with a polite, friendly smile on his lips.

"Are you alright?"
Jason jumped slightly at the voice of the other male, he didn't see him before. "I... I am as alright as I can be at the moment." he muttered softly before looking at the offered hand for a minute before slowly reaching his good hand towards the other male.
"Here, use my hand and shoulder as a brace. You seem very lost of balance."
"Can't put too much pressure on my left foot, think something might be broken in it." he said softly slowly pulling himself up using the male as something to hold his balance. He winced as he straightened up and wrapped his broken arm around his ribs once again and dropped his head for his hair to hide the busing on his face.
"Name is William. I have lived at the place across the street for while."
"I'm Jason. Nice to meet you." he said. "Oh, do you know Jack then? He told me to come here one time if I needed help, or was kicked out again." Jason looked at the feet in embarrassment as he shook from pain, he didn't like looking week in front of strangers, but he hurt too much to do anything else.
"Um... do you know where he is?" he asked William looking up a little, his hair shifted showing a bruise on his cheekbone where there might be a crack, he tried to give the older male a small smile but it only turned into a wince. He shuddered slightly and coughed, placing his hand in front of his mouth catching a little bit of blood before hiding it really quick.
