Name: Tanya Rich

Species: Human
Occupation: Anomaly Unit- Blue Team Member

History: Tanya grew up in Houston, Texas. She had an older brother, Derrick, who she was particularly close to and two strict but very well off parents. Neither she nor her brother were denied much, and when they were it was because they were not following the rules.
Once both reached puberty, rebellion kicked in and suddenly fighting began. They became one of the loudest families in their neighborhood in addition to being notorious trouble-makers. Both Tanya and her brother began partying fairly young and, in retrospect, Tanya realizes this was the catalyst for her chosen career field and interests.
He was slain by a vampire. She had an idea of who killed him, but because she'd only glimpsed the woman she wouldn't be able to identify her. Her parents blamed her for his death because, since she was in the vicinity when he was murdered, she should have had some psychic moment and jumped in to rescue him like Buffy.
Personally, she has nothing against vampires. She doesn't like one vampire, and the Death Dealers are certainly a pain in the butt, but the vampires she works with seem alright.
The main reason she joined the anomaly unit was to spite her parents while guilting them into regretting their last words to her before she moved. It was his death and their words that propelled her choices.
Eventually she learned that she liked to save people in some manner, much like a police officer or fire fighter. She liked to believe she was helping create a better world somehow. Even though she still relishes on the idea that she is, somehow, causing pain to her parents, she is happy with her work.
And on those days when she begins to question whether or not her job is worth it, she simply remembers her parent's last words.
"It is your fault."
And Tanya completely disagrees with her parents.
Tanya's had some combat training. She grew up in Texas, and though it is cliche, she is pretty familiar with guns. When she moved, she worked as a waitress until she got accepted into the anomaly unit. After work, she took classes online for criminal justice and so forth. She's still fairly young and has a long way to go, but she's happy where she is.
Personality: Tanya is almost all passion. If she's happy, she is really happy, and if she's sad, expect tears (or extremely angry). She has a strong belief that despite all the crap in the world that people (vampires and werewolves included) are mostly good and that that the world is good- but it needs a lot of fixing and help to keep it that way. She is extremely stubborn in her values and, if one of her values is violated, she feels almost instant betrayal and will lash out. She is quick to guilt afterwords and, more often than not, will forgive soon after the problem has been addressed. She is a passionate fighter.
Do not let her usually energetic disposition fool you; she has a lot of pent up anger that has yet to be released.
