Sali stood in the middle of nowhere staring out at the barely set sun. She shouldn't be out just yet because the suns rays were still breaking over the horizon but she had always loved the sun, the warmth of it, the brightness, everything. Being a vampire had taken that away from her so every chance she got she would watch the sun set so she could go feed afterwards. Vampires weren't supposed to survive the sunlight, they were supposed to burst into flames or whatnot. Yeah,t hat was a lie. Sali just got extremely tired while in the sunlight and most others did the same until they died from overexposure to the UV rays.
Sighing as soon as it started to get darker, Sali turned to walk away and head into the town. There had been word of a coven around where she was and she definitely wanted to see how that worked. All of the covens Sali had ever come into contact with hadn't been the most wonderful of groups since they didn't like to do anything normal. The last coven she had been in contact with had been an interesting argument. Salidavia was a savage to them and to her, they were bumbling morons.
Shaking her head at that thought she walked through the streets, trying to pick up any sign of vampires. That's when she saw them, moving together as one large pack rather than individual people. That was a definite sign of a coven because they weren't smart enough to not move separately. See, moving as a pack of vampires was deadly since most people would recognize a large group of people and vampires brought enough attention to themselves. Werewolves weren't such a problem yet but they could find a vampire faster than anything else with their keen sense of smell.
Smirking, Sali made sure she was ahead of them before standing in front of them, looking around at all of the faces as they approached. "So, I'm quite curious about all of you," she began to say, her brogue breaking through her voice. She wasn't quite an ancient but she was nearing that point and her accent along with how she spoke sometimes gave away her age. "I'm just wondering as to why you are making yourselves a sore thumb? I mean, an entire pack of vampires walking around a big city like this would be a little too...obvious, no?" She smirked, letting her sharp fangs be seen so they knew she wasn't a hunter or anything.
Sali HATED covens with a passion and she wasn't about to let that fact go unnoticed. Taking a deep breath, she looked across teh street at a few kids who had taken an interest in the large group. She narrowed her eyes and they walked away, mumbling something about a creepy woman in a corset and jeans. Sali was petite, pale, black haired and always wore clothes that resembled what she used to wear in her human times. Corsets were the most popular so her waist was cinched tight in the one she had on at that moment, something she heard some of the vampires whispering about. "I would highly suggest that you not talk about me when I'm standing right in front of you, my dears." She turned her gaze onto the select few that had been talking, smirking when they shut up. "New bloods, you still smell like humans...it's rather repulsive..." Gosh she was such a witch sometimes.

Time moved oddly for him now, but he thought it had been almost ten years. They hadn't wanted to let him leave the place they were calling home. Not while they were back in the city. Someone could recognize his face and he was suppose to be dead. What they forgot was he really was dead. His heart not longer beat in his chest. A fact he never seemed to get over. Everything else he'd taken in stride: the speed, the eyesight, the reflexes, and the hearing. He'd always been a slimy B@*!tard of a man. A lie on his lips and a con in his pocket. They were trying to turn him into something he wasn't. A decent little dead thing fit to be in society.
Only he was hungry all of the time. No matter how much animal blood they gave him it never worked. Constantly something was clawing at his stomach to get out. There was like this itch underneath his skin that he couldn't seem to scratch. At first he'd thought it was because they kept him inside, but now that he was out and about he realized he was wrong. There was like a song in the air that was pulling him away from the pack. Problem was they'd smashed him in the middle so they could keep an eye on him.
No matter how much time had passed, or how different the city looked, he was still a new blood. Something that had to babysat in case he caused a seen. It wasn't a scene he wanted to cause though as the heartbeats around him called his name. All he wanted was a taste. Just something to make the itch go away. Maybe just one little con to get the rush going again. It wasn't about feeling alive. He'd come to term with the fact he'd never be alive again, but to feel the power of being in control of life. Of having people dangling from every word.
The blood color attached to coven threatened to spread across his eyes as the itch got worse. Only his eyes threatened to turn a purple color as the hunger scratched to get loose. Pale fingers balled into fists as everyone finally stopped moving. A women talked, Irish from the sound of it. He knew accents. Made his job a little more fun when the part was completed with an accent. Sometimes it made it easier to pull the con off. Not everyone believed the foreign that smart. 'New bloods, you still smell like humans...it's rather repulsive...'
He bit back the smirk that wanted to stretch across his face, but made a point to not move. If he moved he'd give in. The elders of the coven had been right. Being out here was a bad idea for their rules and regulations, but for Adrian it was an adventure. And he was freaking hungry.

It was comical to watch the fear cross some of the faces of the members of this coven since they probably weren't used to a vampire like Sali. Taking a deep breath, she shook her head slowly and took a step towards them. They backed off a bit and she giggled, using her extra talent of speed to her advantage. All of a sudden she was in the middle of the group staring at the man next to Adrian. "You smell so......young," she breathed, shaking her head. Sensing someone moving behind her she spun around, letting out a long, low growl. "You dare make a move on an ancient?"
Now, Sali was no ancient but she wasn't far from it. Standing there at the age of 430 years old in vampire years, adding her human years onto it she was 452 years old since she had been twenty-two when she died. Ancients were usually over the age of 1000 years old but there had been a few vampires that had crossed her path at the age of 500+ and they were ancients. Letting out another low growl as she saw someone else move to touch their knife, she shook her head. "I would highly advise you not do that, my dear."
Turning once more she now faced Adrian, quirking her head a bit. He seemed so out of place, so different from the others. He smelled different too, he wasn't a new blood but he wasn't exactly older either. Frowning a bit she took another step closer to him and reached up to touch his shoulder. "You're young but not....too young..." she breathed, shaking her head slowly as she watched him. After looking at all of the others it was so apparent he didn't belong with them. He wanted human she could see it, his eyes were different, he had that...spark in his eye. "My darling...you don't belong with these filthy rats. You belong with me," she purred, reaching out to take his hand. Someone went to stop her but she had a knife to their throat immediately, a smirk lifting her lips.
"You coward, you're afraid of me, aren't you?" She snickered before pushing the vampire back away from her. "Come." She said softly, pulling Adrian out of the center of the group to get a look at him. "Tell me, love," she started breathlessly, walking around him slowly while taking in his scent, his every perfect imperfection. "Do you wish to taste a human? To taste real food? Not this...disgusting habit that these horrid excuses for vampires have developed?"

One would think by now that he was use to not having a say in anything that happened in his life. It wasn't like dying had put a change in the routine of his life. His father had been more than just a stickler for the rules. Oh no, the man had a way of life for all of his children. His boys played sports, they were boy scouts, and the damn well knew their manners. If they had zero interest in college they were enlisting just like he did. Even his sister had a set of rules that seemed a little too unfair. All of them had been under the man's thumb, until Adrian had decided to just not come home.
Running away had gotten him into this mess. A promise of something better his left freaking foot. He was still under a thumb inside this little coven. She told fed him animal blood because they were above that of drinking from humans. They wanted to became a part of their nightly world. Only for last few years he'd been confined to their little farm so he wouldn't be tempted. At least until tonight. She'd let him out with the others to so they could all keep an eye on him. To make sure he didn't snack on some passing human.
'You smell so......young.'
They had this stupid unspoken rule that they had to scurry as one. It basically meant that Adrian was always a half of step away of tripping over someone. He'd spent his whole life growing up in New York. There everyone always seemed to have speed: fast. Everyone was in a hurry to get somewhere. So he walked as fast as the people around you, or you took public transit. It would seem these vampires wanted to make sure they fit in so the moved a pace slower than those around. It also meant that when an outside vampire stepped in the middle of them they all moved away, except for Adrian. All he seemed able to do was lift an eyebrow.
He was seconds away from opening his mouth when one of the others moved, and he realized he should probably start to learn people's names. After all he wasn't exactly the new vampire in the coven anymore. Only problem was he wasn't exactly on the same astral plane as some of the others. The fact was only enforced when two of the idiots tried to be what Adrian assumed was a hero. Which was stupid since all the women was doing was smelling them. As odd and as creepy as that may be it didn't mean she needed to be run through.
'You're young but not....too young...'
If she had blond hair he'd make a Goldie-locks comment about being 'just right'. Only he got the look for one of his babysitters. So instead he just shifted his feet and crossed his arms. The longer he was with all these nut-balls the more he wanted out. This whole experience was suppose to be an escape from his old life. It wasn't exactly working in his favor yet. Not that drinking human blood and sleeping all day was a part of the plan, but he'd been willing to work with it.
'My darling...you don't belong with these filthy rats. You belong with me.'
She went to reach out for him, but it seemed one of the others had something to say about it. Again with the whole drawing the wrong kind of attention to themselves. She wasn't doing anything but making conversation. He was just glad she hadn't sniffed him. There were lines even vampires shouldn't cross. Sniffing people was on the top of that list.
'Do you wish to taste a human? To taste real food? Not this...disgusting habit that these horrid excuses for vampires have developed?'
"I've had worst offers, blue eyes looked over the vampire's shoulder before back at. "Might have had better ones." He hadn't. Just his own little plans to get himself out. If he could get away from the horde long enough to make the slip. Lying he could do at the drop of a hat. He wasn't half bad of sneaking around considering his tendencies and his father, but a house full of vampires didn't sleep like the dead. They heard everything.

Sali liked this kid, he was a smart ass and good at it too. He wasn't afraid of her unlike some of the others around him and he most certainly wasn't going to step down from her. A smirk lifted her lips as he spoke and she slowly nodded, tracing his jaw with her fingers. One look stopped someone from stabbing at her since she had made it known she was a force to be reckoned with. "You're so weak from all of that awful animal blood. I'm sure this is the best offer you've been given so far since this coven shit isn't doing much for you..." she reasoned with him, smirking softly.
This girl was such a manipulator it wasn't even funny. Between manipulation and being a b#*ch she hadn't made many friends. Maybe he would be a good one for her to settle down to know, to not alienate with her b#*chy ways. Taking a deep breath she pulled him even farther away from his little buddies and pulled out a vile with a smirk. "Freshly pulled from a body, still warm actually. I carry it around as a snack but here, have your first dose of human," she said gently before sliding the bottle into his hand.
If he drank it she knew that would be the end of his animal days. He would immediately crave human blood and wouldn't take any other thing in place of it. Humans blood was so delicious that all vampires craved it when they became hungry. Sali had tried the whole animal blood thing for awhile when she was out in hiding but she quickly learned she couldn't take it because of the constant incessant buzzing in her head for human blood. She could only imagine what someone who only ate animal blood was feeling, the buzz could only be worse since he never had human blood. "Don't down it like a shot, it'll give you a headache if you do so," she said gently and gave a soft smile, sliding her hands into her pockets.

As her cool hand traced his jawline he fought back the urgent to flinch away. It was more out of instinct than it was out of fear. He wasn't real fond of people touching him without his permission, especially female vampires that took an interest him. Not because he was ugly or something. If you asked him he'd tell you he was probably the best looking thing in this coven. He just made a point of making himself invisible when he was around the others. They sort of freaked him out. At first they had been interesting. Now they sort of made his skin crawl.
'You're so weak from all of that awful animal blood.'
Now that statement he couldn't lie about. There was something about the weigh it tasted when he drank it. Almost like it was too heavy. It was hard to explain, especially since he wasn't really sure what human blood had tasted like. See the reason he wasn't allowed alone was because the first time they let him out alone he'd given in. Not because he wasn't strong enough! But, because seriously that smell when they got so close, and the sound their heart made when the saw your eyes shift or fangs length. It was luck a siren's song. Who wouldn't want to give into that?
'I'm sure this is the best offer you've been given so far since this coven shit isn't doing much for you...'
The smirk stretched across his face into almost a lewd smile (if one could have a smile that told all one's dirty secrets). The food while it filled him wasn't what he truly craved, the company was dull, but sometimes the nights weren't all that cold. Of course then the new-bloods got sucked into whatever it was the were selling. Life would probably be better if he knew, or even cared, about the coven in general.
'Freshly pulled from a body, still warm actually. I carry it around as a snack but here, have your first dose of human.'
As she spoke to him she pulled him out of the middle of the coven. Everyone sort of shifted around him, but not a single one of them moved to actually stop him. He wasn't real sure weather it was because they were arrived of the vampire pulling him, or the fact they wanted him to get eaten. If he had to guess honestly, then he'd have to say it was probably a whole lot of the latter mixed with a little bit of former.
The bottle she places in his hand was filled with a dark red liquid, and even though it was corked he could smell it. He rolled the bottle around in his pale hand before looking back at the women. The bottle never once left his site as it moved from one side of his hand to the other.
'Don't down it like a shot, it'll give you a headache if you do so.'
He forced a breath he really didn't need out of his nose as his tongue ran over his fangs. "I don't make a habit of taking candy from strangers." In one deft move he flipped the bottle over his fingers before handing it back to the vampire.

The smell of the absolute fear seeping off of the vampires around her was rather satisfying. Sali loved to freak people out, loved to be able to sense their fear and loathing. It was like a drug to her in a way, the high she got off of causing people to be afraid for their lives was just so amazing and she never wanted to give it up. Doing it to humans was entertaining, but doing this to vampires was so much more fun.
As soon as her fingers touched Adrian she could feel the tension rise but she ignored it, continuing to silently pull him away from the group. He was a handsome one, that was for sure, and he had a bit of a cocky attitude to him. That was so typical of new vampires learning how they had immortal life and no way to really die other than by being shredded and burnt or staked. He could be cocky all he wished because he had peaked her interest for some reason. Sali wasn't going to let Adrian go back to the coven if she had anything to say about it. These stupid vampires could fight her for him but not one of them would out of her alive. She would turn them to shreds and set them all on fire to burn away in hell. That, or tie them up so they would set fire in the sunlight as soon as dawn came. Now that would be entertaining.
When he handed the vile back to her she could only give a little bit of a girlish smile at the little comment. Blood basically was candy for them and he at least had a sense of humor. She rolled the vial around in her fingers for a few moments before tucking it away into her pocket. A whisper made her snap her head towards the group of vampires beside them and she took in a deep breath. At least the whispering stopped when she looked over, they didn't want to piss her off. "Well, since you don't take candy from strangers. How about an invitation out of this silly coven. You have so much promise of being a great vampire but being in this silly coven is doing absolutely nothing for you. Stupid vegan morons..." She spat her insult directly at the coven with a smirk, watching one of the vampires anger float right up to his face.
Looking to Adrian, she awaited his answer while slowly sliding a knife from her pocket. She had a feeling that something was going to happen with another vampire since she had done nothing but insult the poor coven left and right. As soon as one of them moved, she flashed the knife in their direction with a bright smirk. "Darling, I highly suggest you stay right there if you wish to live past dawn. Ya know...tying you up and letting you roast in the morning sunlight would be rather beautiful..." Sali waited for the girl to settle before turning back to Adrian, eyes narrowing. "So. Would you like a way out of this stupid coven or are you willing to stay?"

'Well, since you don't take candy from strangers. How about an invitation out of this silly coven. You have so much promise of being a great vampire but being in this silly coven is doing absolutely nothing for you. Stupid vegan morons...'
Of every vampire here he should know when he was getting played. When someone was playing to his ego. Before becoming a vampire he'd made a living one con after another. He had a natural talent with a silver tongue. Of making people believe anything they wanted to. The last time he let someone play toward his vanity he'd ended up in this mess. A vampire not allowed to sharpen his fangs or stretch his leathery wings. Not that he could actually turn into a bat. Something he was still pretty pissed about. On top of all the other interesting powers, shape shifting. Totally adds to the supernatural package. It figures though, this whole experience had sucked so far.
Still it didn't stop his blue eyes from looking around at the others. Not a single one of them jumped out at him. He didn't have any sort of relationship with anyone standing around them. All of them seemed to always keep their distance from him. He'd never been overly sure as to why. Sure, is past before coming into the coven wasn't exactly good and proper, but he highly doubted any of them could say the same. Though, he might actually be the only who'd had a body count before becoming a vampire.
'So. Would you like a way out of this stupid coven or are you willing to stay?"
All of a sudden he felt everything around him shift. Like all at once they realized he was actually considering not going back to the farmhouse with him. Seriously, did none of them know him at all? His whole life he'd only ever been out for number one. There wasn't a bone in his body that cared about anyone behind. Even the few that had shared his bed with him.
"Adrian," one of the spoke as they wrapped around his elbow. As he moved he didn't once think about it. His own hand wrapped around the vampire's wrist, his grip crushing it. Before said vampire could think his free hand wrapped around his throat. Blue eyes flushed violet as he squeezed. Violence was a waist of time until it wasn't. Sometimes words weren't enough.
"You can tell her I quit," his words thick as he spat them past his fangs. "Anyone want to challenge that?" To prove a point he squeezed the vampire throat a little tighter, making him squeak.

Oh he was actually contemplating coming with Sali to escape the coven that had put him in shrink wrap. Just looking upon this boy she could see so much promise of a beautiful Death Dealer built into every muscle fiber in his body. Every ounce of him breathed this pure energy that could be used to do some good in this world. Of course, saying that about a dead man was not something you heard every day. Energy was usually used to describe something that was alive, something breathing and moving and bouncing. To a vampire, they were dead, in a way. They had a form of Energy to them and Adrian had a violent, angry energy. If Sali could steal him away, get him some more strength and train him a bit, she'd make him the perfect killer...well more perfect than he seemed to already be.
Her sharp eye shot to the one that stepped forward, that interrupted her conversation with Adrian. A growl emitted from Sali's throat as this vampire seemed to almost plead with Adrian without any words but what happened next was wonderful. Salidavya smiled brightly as she watched Adrian grab this vampire around the throat, squeezed hard to prove his point of not going back. "She?" She frowned a bit, stepping forward to look up at the ever so angry Adrian. That means there was a woman overseeing this little coven of shitheads and she wasn't even out of her safe haven, but she let these people go out.
When the vampire squeaked, she reached up to touch Adrian's shoulder softly. "Adrian, darling. If you severe his head he'll merely live on. It would be best to just leave them here," Sali spoke softly, knowing that Adrian would hear her even if she were speaking under her breath. Sali tried to prevent a scene on a busy straight, she didn't mind leaving a mess behind it was the many eyes that would look upon her actions in their moment of happening that bothered her. And right about now, people were beginning to notice. "One thing I must stress right now, Adrian, is that vampires were meant to not be seen. Or if we are, we're meant to blend in. Right now. We're not blending in, we're making ourselves rather obvious." She took a deep, unneeded breath while keeping an eye on some of the bystanders who had suddenly taken an interest in the group.

Pale fingers tightened across the pale throat of the vampire that should have been his friend. All of them should have been something to Adrian, but not a single one of them meant a thing to him. Since he'd been brought into the fold they had all kept their distance. Every single one knowing what he'd once been before becoming one of them, and a few had been very vocal about what they thought about that. A con-man had no place in their ranks and could never be trusted. She really should have listened a little better.
Around him could feel the eyes of the those walking past linger on them, rubbernecks the lot of them. Not a single one seemed to want to get involved. Instead they just looked on in shock as the vampire's feet scraped across the pavement. Adrian half wondered what would happen if he snapped the vampire's neck. Would it be enough to finally kill the B@*!tard? Or would it just take some time for the bones to heal themselves? A dark smile stretched across his face as he squeezed tighter still. The edge of his fangs sticking out between pale lips.
'Adrian, darling. If you severe his head he'll merely live on. It would be best to just leave them here.'
That was not the answer he had wanted. He'd rather been hoping the ass-hat's head would pop off. With a deep he let the vampire go and crumble to the floor. His own head side to the side in at an unnatural speed. Blue eyes watching his so called friend rubbing his neck. A few of the other moved to help the vampire up. Quickly pushing them behind them to keep Adrian away. It was enough to make him roll his eyes.
One thing I must stress right now, Adrian, is that vampires were meant to not be seen. Or if we are, we're meant to blend in. Right now. We're not blending in, we're making ourselves rather obvious.'
Blue eyes turned away from the coven to look out around them at the bystanders. His eyes narrowed at them and his smile turned into a snarl. It was enough to make a few advert their stare. "Let them look." He could smell their fear from all the way over here. Humans had a way of rationalizing everything from the supernatural to the things they couldn't control. His own mother use to do about it their father. She was convinced the man was a Saint and they just didn't deserve him. Truth was the man was a B@*!tard who could never be pleased unless everyone was miserable.

Sali sighed in a bit of aggravation as Adrian merely stated to let the humans watch on. Oh that was fine and dandy, until a much older ancient or someone they really shouldn't mess with caught them. Her eyes watched Adrian for a moment as she listened to the coven whisper amongst themselves about what to do, causing her to growl. 'You'll leave. Now." Her tone wasn't very nice, it was rather harsh and nasty, one that someone would be a fool to disobey. Salidavia stepped forward to gently touch Adrian's elbow for a mere whisper of a second and just hard enough for him to know she had. "Come now, Adrian. The sun rises in half an hour, we must get out of the reach of it's rays."
Her home wasn't terribly far from where they stood and if Adrian were hungry she had some stocked blood in case something like this would happen. Sometimes Sali didn't feel like going outside to get blood so she just drank what she had and replaced it later. Taking a deep breath, she gave Adrian a hard tug so he would start walking with her and she could explain some things as they went. "I understand you don't care if people look upon what we do, but there are vampires out here who would have you dead before you could say that letter I in your I don't care statement. Obviously the coven didn't teach you these...levels of vampires that range from newborns like a few of the vampires in the coven were, to ancients who are thousands of years old. These ancients are deadly, more deadly than myself and I was trained by one of them."
The three block walk was easy and once there, she glanced around them to make sure no one was watching from back with the coven before slipping inside. The house was warm and welcoming, decorated with lush furniture and carpets. Most importantly, it was dark to keep any form of sunlight from breaking through. As Sali's fingers flipped the locks over on the door, her other hand reached out to turn on a light. It seemed that low wattage bulbs were easy on the vampire eyes so Sali stocked up on them. Her shoes stayed by the door while she set her keys and everything down before finally turning to Adrian. "Welcome to my home. Would you like your first true taste of human blood?"Smiles a bit as she motions towards the kitchen area.

'Come now, Adrian. The sun rises in half an hour, we must get out of the reach of it's rays.'
Now there was a rule he could easily follow. Being caught out in the sun, no matter how long you'd been a vampire, always ended up the same. With the vampire turned into dust and the sun looking all the better. Plus he wanted to know what it was like to sleep in a house that was literally crawling with whiny vampires. It never failed back on that farm there was always something to b#*ch about. Mostly about things they missed about being human. It was a game that Adrian never joined in on, because he missed nothing about it. Why miss the sun when if out in it to long burns the skin so one is miserable. A warm touch? No such thing Murphy household. Not with a drunk B@*!tard for a father.
As they walked he only half listened to the women talk. What did it honestly mattered what anyone else thought of him. Humans were tiny creatures who warped the world into something they understood. Everything else was hidden away and forgotten. The stories of monster no longer existed to scare children from the dark. Now they were nothing but old wife's tales of the old country. He should know. They'd been making movies about things like he was no when he'd been a child. Meant to scare and entertain all at once.
Ancient vampires.
Maybe their came a time when even vampires needed to walk away. When they'd seen too much and becomes so many things. After all what was the immorality if you didn't at least somewhat enjoy it. There had be a point when everything had been done, and there was so little left to enjoy. Hopefully, he'd never have to find out what age that was.
'Welcome to my home. Would you like your first true taste of human blood?'
Ice blue eyes looked around the room. To be honest it wasn't all the much, but it was better than what he'd have been going home to. Not to mention his mother had taught him better manners than that. While his father had taught him the best way to make the your children and wife hate you was to drink yourself into a stupor than treat them like shit.
"I could eat." He flashed Sali a smile before letting her lead the way. After all, this was her home.

Sali watched him quietly, taking a deep unneeded breath as she watched him. Her home was quaint, comfortable and just how she remembered her lush home as a human. There was even a saved picture of the family from just before she died, well, actually it was a painting considering at her time there weren't those camera things. Sali stopped to stare at it nearly everyday, remembering her time as a human and her family. It was hard for her to deal with, being taken away from her family but she had grown almost completely devoid of that emotion. Love. Sali actually forgot about it, forgot what it felt like.
Sighing, she popped open the fridge and pulled out a small bottle of blood for Adrian. "It's clean," she said gently and handed him the bottle. "Try not to chug it like a beer, might make it a little easier to settle and won't make you sick. Which yes, we can get sick." Sali smiled with a soft chuckle behind her words and stood back against the counter. It stunned her that so many covens had gone 'vegan' in a way. Human blood was so quenching, it filled her to such a degree she didn't need another body. It was just the perfect liquid of life.
She had tried that vegan thing once and it was ridiculous. Hardest thing she had to do in her entire life. There was always this burning hunger sensation that she couldn't fix and even when she kept eating, it never went away. "Hopefully it cures that burning hunger you must have. I understand how painful that is." She nodded with a sigh, playing with an empty bottle quietly.

Blue eyes took everything in and tried to figure her out as he did. Once he thought he'd been pretty good at reading people. Had made a pretty good living out scamming them since he was sixteen. Problem was he'd made a mistake when he read the women who'd turned him. At the time he thought he'd be getting something he wanted. Something that would have made him better, and all he got was trapped.
Now was a whole knew story.
'It's clean.'
He knew better than trust people anymore. It was a lesson he shouldn't of had to re-learn. Love was an emotion that just got you nothing but trouble. His mother had loved his father and that hadn't ended well for anyone involved. So the fact he thought he was in love once should have been his first clue.
Doing what he was told he sipped on the bottle as he moved to the window. Even through the walls he could hear the traffic. There were a handful of people across the streets. Early riser heading to work and graveyard crews heading home. Carefully, he watched them all as he sipped on his blood.
'Hopefully it cures that burning hunger you must have. I understand how painful that is.'
"I've had worse," and he wasn't even joking.

It wasn't hard for her to be nice, it was rather easy she just chose to be a cold b#*ch because she could be. Tormenting humans was too easy so she tended to torment them for a long time. Her seductive ways turned to nasty and then back to seductive until the male she decided to play with had had enough. But when it came to this vampire in front of her, she felt a little different for him. She felt that he just needed someone to look after him until he understood the vampire realm that had eluded him for so long. Covens were always sheltering vampires that tended to lead to more deaths than anything for them, hence the constant replenishment and reclusive ways.
Taking a deep breath at his little quip, she just shrugged with a soft smile. "I guess I'm just a wimp then. You'd think, a 400 year old vampire wouldn't be so...weak to pain," she smirked as she sauntered into the other room to grab herself a glass to pour blood into. Some things she couldn't give up and drinking from a glass was one of them. Especially her wine glasses, since that was the drink of choice in her time in England. Beer was for the men, women drank wine if they had to...or wanted to. She took a long sip of the blood and smiled some, setting the glass down. "So, did you have any foods you particularly enjoyed as a human?"
Sali sat up on the counter and let her legs hang down against the cabinets, back against the wall behind her. "I tend to snack on some of the human foods that I've learned to enjoy. Plus, it helps to make them believe you're human when you want to play before eating." She winked softly with a slight sadistic smile on her face. Sali was sadistic, twisted, muffed up if you'd like to say.
